Maria Rahajeng, otherwise known as Maria Asteria Sastrayu is Indonesian beauty queen nameholders who has been the representative from West Sulawat and now crown princess of Indonesia from her previous role as Miss Indonesia 2021. She is also the founder of the telok Anuwid International School, which is the only school in Indonesia that offers special education for people with different cultural and religious beliefs. Maria is also the current face of SIA Entertainment, the agency that handles all business matters for SIA Entertainment Group. Growing up as a child, Maria was always fascinated by the stories of her older sisters and cousins who were considering tall for their age in the community and at home. It was during her early years in school, when Maria was given the chance to study drama which she excelled in, excelling in the acting and drama department. Maria’s dream of becoming an actor came true as she landed herself a part in a film called “The Pirate” and then went on to starring in many other movies in the coming years including “The Perfect Woman”, “The Woman”, “Million Dollar Baby” and many others.
After her years in the film industry, Maria began working in a beauty salon in Jakarta as a beauty manager. She had a successful career as a beauty manager and was in charge of managing the whole team and running the office smoothly, especially with her employees’ backgrounds and their relationship with the clients. In her position, she became known for her kindness and hospitality which endeared her to her many clients. Later in life, Maria decided to get back into acting by taking a role in a movie that she starred in alongside someone who is now her idol, Camille O’kered. Maria is now happily married to Joe Pesci and has two children. Needless to say, her profession has kept her active in the beauty industry throughout her life and she is very grateful for everything she has achieved in her chosen profession.
