Maria Maaloof is a dual national of Holland and Morocco. She was born in Lebanon and has spent her entire adult life living in Netherlands. She is listed as a person with dual citizenship due to her nationality or being of Moroccan and Dutch descent. Born in Lebanon, she grew up in Australia and Canada. She is originally from Melbourne, Australia.
Maria started working in the telesales department of a marketing agency when she was young. After that she decided to pursue a career in international relations at the United States National Security Agency where she served as the assistant director for strategic planning. In this position, she took part in some very sensitive assignments that were considered high risk by our government. This experience has left her with a strong understanding of our national security system.
As a consultant and speaker, Maria continues to work on topics related to strategic planning and coordinating federal agencies on the same topic. Her latest book “Secrets of the State: My Life as a Woman Intelligence Agent” provides a behind-the-scenes look at how foreign nationals to serve in our government. She states that being an international spy is a fulfilling career. As a woman, she has the ability to protect our country, even though at times she has to wear a veil as she crosses the border to work. Her frank descriptions of her job as a spy bring a light to her personality and reveal her passion for her profession.
