Among the most fascinating, beautiful and talented personalities of our times is Paola Miglia, a Peruvian actress, model and writer. Her international upbringing, and resultant art education have allowed her to hone both her body and her mind into some of the best ever seen on the big screen, and it shows in her acting, which has won her not only many awards but also multiple statues for Best Actress in a Leading Role category for her works, including “The Nutcracker” and” Carmen”. Born in Huancayo, Peru, Miglia has been described as “a unique mixture of beauty, brains and spirit”. Her talent is noted at almost every turn in her work, which has led to a number of honors throughout her career, including induction into the International Academy of Theater, and additional honors such as a Grandmaster Award from the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences in London. She is currently studying an online university in Los Angeles to become a Master of Fine Arts with a focus on the performing arts.

Having grown up as a Peruvian in the Huancayo area, Miglia’s ethnicity, gender and natural height all play a role in what has become one of the most exciting, memorable and popular careers in the film industry today. But what seems to be most admirable about her work is her ability to maintain a young sensuality and excitement, which is a quality that is sadly lacking in a lot of the beauty and movie industry talent that has come before her. She has said that she tries to keep her characters attractive while maintaining her youthful outlook and enthusiasm about the role, something that has been a trademark of her since she was a child. This same sense of commitment has been demonstrated time again in her television and film career, which began at the age of 18 with the well received “Morie La Vida” (also known as “My Vida” or “My Life” in English), followed by successful roles in “A Man Called Horse”, “Eternal Sunshine of The Spotless Mind”, “A Woman For Sale” as well as the award winning “Singing for Clients” for Showtime. While the success of these shows helped to launch her into the entertainment world, it seems that her real success is in her personal life – and not in her acting.

Today, she is married and has two children, the older of whom started to take an interest in acting at a very young age. She has remained open about her personal life, even speaking out about her own personal battle with obesity. She has also remained committed to the profession throughout her life, even receiving the Lifetime Achievement Award from Variety Magazine at the age of 65. Miglia has also managed to remain active in the Spanish speaking communities throughout her life, even serving as a spokesperson for the National Association of Legal Assistants in Los Angeles.
