Lisa Evans is a Scottish international professional soccer player who plays for Arsenal in the FA Women’s Premier League, the second-level for women’s soccer in England. She is currently on loan from Arsenal until the end of the season. Born in Fort William, Lisa grew up as a youngster in her family’s home town of Duncraig in Ayrshire, Scotland where her father played for the local football club, before he moved to London and became a professional soccer player for Arsenal. Since making her debut for the Gunners in 2004, Lisa has gone on to play for Scotland, Northern Ireland, England, Wales and Scotland again.

Being tall, Lisa is in a good place to talk about her height as it shows that her sport certainly gives her a helping posture when trying to make the tackles or head kicks. In fact, being listed as 6ft 4in and using the size six instead of the standard size 4, may even give her an advantage because she could comfortably reach goals during her years at college. The size 4 was not big enough, so Lisa would use her height advantage to get onto the net. Even with her petite frame, Lisa still looks impressive. Many professional sport athletes are not proud of their height and prefer to wear a shorter skirt, for example, to highlight their thin frames. However, given her winning attitude and excellent physique, one would expect that Lisa would prefer to wear shorts during sports events instead.

Being of Scottish descent, Lisa Evans would therefore be expected to be of Celtic descent, which is one of the most significant ethnic groups within England. Her father was of Irish descent, while her mother was German. Given her proud heritage, it is easy to see how Lisa Evans became such an accomplished and admirable athlete, excelling both in her sport and in her personality. It is interesting to note that her height difference, which is only 2 inches, does not diminish her ability to be a good partner on the rugby team and to be a great wife and mother to her partner, Charlie Bracken.
