Tamsyn Ann, (born in Gyor, Hungary), is a well known member of the punk/alternative rock scene who has gone on to become one of the most respected and famous singers of her generation. She rose to stardom with her bandcamp release of an album entitled “Reinventing Your Exit”. With her popularity she continues to tour around the world playing her original songs as well as covers by others such as the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Skid Row, Ministry, God Save The World, White Room, Animal House and many others. Her career was capped off with a two year stint at Warfield Stadium in England, where she opened for such well know acts as Cream, Def Leppard, Big League Cheerleaders, Weezer and Metallica.
As her career progressed, she decided to explore other avenues and have been involved with the music industry ever since. She has released several solo albums, as well as duets with fellow alternative/rock bands such as Baths & Ets and Sky. She has also gone on to star in numerous movies, most notably her role as herself in the award winning movie “Sneakers”. As her status as an artist increased, she also began to tour and perform live, beginning with a string of sold out shows in Europe and culminating with a residency in Paris. Tamsyn Ann has also gained a considerable amount of attention for her charity work, which includes the annual donated concert in aid of cancer research held annually. Her work as a promoter and performer has made her not only one of the best known female talents from the UK but has also seen her featured in numerous other countries around the world.
Tamsyn Ann grew up in Gyor, Hungary, where her father was a respected local musician and band leader. After moving to London as a teenager, she quickly became fascinated with the City’s underground culture, often going to squats to listen to music and meet other artists. As a result, she developed a highly distinctive, energetic style of her own which would influence many future musicians, including the Arctic Monkeys and Kasabian. Today, Tamsyn Ann is an accomplished multi-track musician and actress, whose career has seen both professional and non-professional achievements throughout her adult life.
