A. Fashion marketing trends dominate the dominant form of promotion in the international apparel industry in 2021. With people growing more conscious about their appearances and spending huge amounts of money to look good, the fashion industry as a whole has transformed itself with the advent of high-end fashion brands that offer cutting-edge designs that cater to the needs of a discriminating market. This transformation is slowly changing the face of fashion marketing from a local or one-off phenomenon to a comprehensive event-by-event approach where brand promotion becomes an integral part of events such as Fashion weeks, Fashion week shows, and designer shows, and where even social media can be used as a tool for brand promotion. In this new age of fashion marketing trends, the fashion buyer has a myriad of options available to him or her when choosing which fashion trend to follow.

B. The most noticeable trend among the current crop of fashion marketing trends is the arrival of Black Friday. Although not originally a part of the fashion marketing trends, Black Friday was actually a day set apart for shoppers by the major fashion brands to showcase their latest collections. The day celebrated the day after Thanksgiving and has since become one of the most popular days for people to shop for the clothes they want to wear on that special day. People traditionally shop on Black Friday because of its proven popularity among consumers and the fact that it coincides with the traditional start of the working week in most countries.

C. Celebrities is increasingly becoming a part of the Fashion Week and designer show circuit, making their fashion marketing savvy and influential to a new set of buyers who are entering the industry for the first time. Celebrities like Beyonce Knowles, Sir Paul McCartney, and Paris Hilton have made their presence felt at various Fashion Week shows and events, drawing huge crowds that are eager to get an up close and personal experience of what these celebrities can offer, whether it be new designs or re-releases of classic styles. With an increasing number of outlets opening for business on Fashion Week, there has been an increase in interest for local designers to showcase their talents. The increase in awareness and interest from local fashion designers has led to a parallel rise in competition between these emerging artists and established fashion designers from overseas. The outcome is a growing marketplace for both designers and consumers who are becoming more accustomed to buying quality products from internationally recognized fashion designers.
