Ingrid Hvik is a Denmark based entrepreneur. Ingrid started her company “Height Consulting” back in 1985. Her company has now expanded globally and she continues to lead in the development of technology that provides solutions to the world’s most pressing challenges. As CEO of Height Consulting, Ingrid Hvik has managed to revolutionize the consulting industry by combining technological innovation with an emphasis on creating true collaboration and international cooperation between clients and their professionals.
One day Ingrid was in a coffee shop having a conversation with her friend Marlene about working in an international company. Marlene asked Ingrid if she had ever thought about getting a nationality certification. Ingrid responded by saying that she did not understand the term. Marlene explained that getting a height certificate is necessary for all professionals working in the height industry including building surveyors, architects, developers, designers and more.
Ingrid then shared with Marlene that many of her partners come from very high altitudes and live in extreme climates. Ingrid then shared with Marlene that once the client reaches a certain point in their careers they often feel isolated, disconnected and unworthy. Being a woman in such an environment can lead to feelings of lack of self-worth, which can be overcome through developing strong relationships with other professionals. Marlene and Ingrid decided to create “height conferences” where professionals would meet regularly in order to enhance their partnerships and find new ways to strengthen their relationships and create lasting career relationships with each other.
