1960’s Fashion Trends – Men’s Fashion

1960’s fashion trends are all about color. People would wear vibrant colors such as orange, red and yellow, which were the most popular colors of that time. Clothing which is in shades of green, blue, purple, black and white were also very much in. People were ready to experiment with every shade of these colors. This would definitely give you a rich feel but would not suit every body type. But still, if you want to look trendy, try a colorful tunic top paired with a casual trousers pair and tie a pony tail for the best combination.

1960’s fashions were all about the clothes fit for the movies. People wore clothing that looked so ‘hot’ it was expected to be worn in a movie and not for everyday use. Fashions which showed shoulders were considered unacceptable and were even considered to be sexier than untucked shirts or a T-shirt. Fabrics such as silk were considered to be the symbol of wealth and good taste at that time. Colorful fabrics, such as those used in the 1960’s fashion trends were all in shades of pink such that they had to be washed easily and could easily be dyed according to one’s preference.

1960’s fashions also revolved around high waisted pants rather than usual pants worn in that era. The cuts were kept as slim so that they did not look out of proportion with your body structure. Ties were no longer simply used for tying the neck but they were also meant to be stylish so as to complement your clothing ensemble. People who wore ties looked unique as they were dressed in a different way from others. It was not uncommon to see guys wearing slacks along with a buttoned up shirt, tie and a turquoise necklace! 1960’s fashions brought back the innovative designs and colors of yesteryear which were all vibrant and uplifting.
