She’s turning 30 and doing so in style. It’s not easy entering center stage of the music scene while still in your teens. But, Taylor Swift was star material from the start. Of course, she has talent and an amazing voice. But, perhaps her stylish innocence and light, blonde curls helped accent the look that propelled her to stardom. Over the years, she has grown up before our eyes as we listened to her sweet, innocent music transform to more adult lyrics. Her sense of fashion has moved at the same pace.

She’s come a long way from that sweet sixteen-year-old wearing cowboy boots to accent a handkerchief skirted dress as she’s played out almost half of her life before the welcome or disapproval of fans.

Over the years, we have watched her don country to jaw-dropping, show-stopping style on stage and at the CMAs Country Music Awards and the AMAs, American Music Awards showcase. She slipped off those cowboy boots in exchange for some sparkly sandals that showed off her heart tattoo and a short, flirty sparkly dress. Though, she still proved to maintain her innocence by wearing white and long locks.

She let us know she’s a woman when she arrived wearing that long, sleek black mermaid-skirted formal with black elbow-length gloves to match. As the years went on, her curls stayed intact but began to be worn in an up-swept style until it gradually would go shorter and shorter. And, that black dress became more elegant and lower cut.

The long, blonde curls grew into a shorter, straighter, more mature look as she rocked a pink, shimmery full-length evening gown that accented the new hair style and helped her step into her 20s with elegance and slightly darker hair.

Perhaps the most dramatically stunning choice of style was the white pantsuit with the bikini-string neckline and peek-a-boo waist. Her hair dismissed any hint of curl as it reached only her shoulders with straight bangs as an accent. There was no doubt of her womanhood as she showed up the following year with a floor-length, wide-open slit pink skirt and orange tube top. Both topped with her AMA appearance of silver above-the-knee boots and a mini-skirt to match.

She has taken us from sweet country innocent teen years through emerging adulthood with her style to match. Now that she’s proven she is all grown up and can pull off just about any style, we can’t wait to see what outfit she shows up in next.

Happy 30th birthday, Tay.
